The Benefits of Group Strength Training

It’s no secret that we are big fans of group strength training here at Booty Lab! (It’s kind of our entire thing!!) But that is for a REASON. And what is that reason, you may ask? Well, let us tell you!

Motivation

While motivation is a wonderful thing, it doesn’t always last. Working out with a community helps you stay accountable and encourages you to work out even when you might not be in the mood to go. In this way, not only do the people you workout with hold you accountable, but it helps you to hold yourself accountable. Similarly, working out in this environment allows you to establish a routine, which makes it easier to keep up with.

Think of it as a built-in support system! When you consistently work out with a group of bad a** women, it’s hard not to get inspired and motivated!!

Social Benefits

One of our favorite things about group strength training is the social benefits! Immersing yourself in a community with similar goals and reasons to workout can help you build up a healthy friend group that can flow outside the gym’s walls. When you spend multiple hours together each week, you cannot help but get to know one another. You get built-in workout partners that, more often than not, naturally evolve into friendships outside the gym. We have made some of our best friends here at the gym throughout the years. All of the women who walk through our gym doors are here to improve themselves somehow, which is something we can all connect on. These connections encourage you to reach all your goals, whether in or out of the gym!

Mental Benefits

Now that we know the social benefits of group strength training, did you know there are also mental benefits? Not everyone has the same physical goals, but having a place where you feel welcome to come and take a mental break from the stresses of everyday life can be AMAZING for your mental health! In addition, working out in a group gives you routine and structure, which can help take the pressure and stress off of yourself to figure out what workouts to do, when, how to do them, etc. Lastly, working out in a group can improve your confidence. It gives you plenty of opportunities to be proud of yourself as you reach goals and lift heavier, plus you have a tribe behind you cheering you on!

Booty Lab was founded on group strength training. While our services have evolved and expanded over the years, our cornerstone is still group training, and for a reason! Group training works and has proven effective for all of the women who have worked out with us! You can check out all of our packages, including in-person group training, on our website. We would love to have you join us and see for yourself!
