Hi, Rebecca here! My philosophy has always been living a balanced life. I don’t believe in “diets” or counting calories or macros. I’ve been there and done that! It creates a very unhealthy relationship with food in my opinion. All my successes with healthy eating has been contributed to three major things: creating habits, staying consistent, and not pressuring myself to be perfect.

Here are 3 things I do instead of diet and cheating days:
1. Stop avoiding foods and telling yourself not to eat x, y, and z.
2. When you’re craving a specific food, have it. The world will not end if you eat a Snickers Bar or some pizza or bread. I find that when I crave certain foods, I enjoy them so much more.
3. Once you’ve enjoyed it, go back to the regular weekly foods that keep you healthy and working towards your goals.
I can’t emphasize enough the need for balance! I would be doing my clients and myself an injustice if I pushed an unrealistic lifestyle.
There is nothing wrong with wanting aesthetic goals and setting boundaries for yourself, but remember to enjoy the process, remember the reason behind the process.
And do me a favor… eat a cheeseburger or have a glass of prosecco on me. Your body and your mind will thank you.
