Focus on Glute Activation

Because we spend a lot of our time sitting or laying down, our glutes become inactive and usually need to be warmed up in order to perform strenuous exercise!

Glute activation is important in order to fully absorb the exercise you are completing, prevent injury, give you good form, and better tone your muscle groups!!

By warming up your glutes, they are better able to do the work themselves, rather than relying on nearby muscles to get it done. Before you begin any sort of lower body workout such as cycling, weight training or running, be sure to complete some activation exercises.

Below, we show you a few of our favorite glute activation exercises that you can use before your workouts. It would be smart to do these for about 10 minutes beforehand to get the best results!
